Alternativ Data
Elretur owns the majority of shares in Alternativ Data
The agreement results in a total solution for customers of Alternativ Data and Elretur and involves: data deletion (data security), the reuse of valuable IT hardware and the proper environmental treatment and recovery of IT hardware that is not reused.

The agreement also ensures Elretur's customers priority access to advice from Alternativ Data concerning:

• formal requirements concerning data deletion and data security
• valuation of used IT hardware with respect to reuse
• formal requirements and rules with respect to the reuse of second-hand IT hardware.

Alternativ Data is one of Norway's largest collectors and buyers of used IT hardware for
reuse and resale in the Norwegian and overseas markets.
Since it was established in 1988, Alternativ Data has built up a substantial network and a high level of competence in this area. A key element of Alternativ Data's treatment of used IT hardware is the secure deletion of data and the documentation of this. Alternativ Data uses IBAS ASA, which in turn is approved by the Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM).
